I decided to make a new DIY tutorial since I made a cute Amigurumi tangerine today. >w< The thought about making a tangerine went from the hate my boyfriend has against tangerines. XD So I decided to troll him a bit and make one. ＼(o￣∇￣o)/

EDIT: I gave him this tangerine yesterday and he was so surprised! He kept giggling about the fact that I made it because he hates them…hahaha. XD

Tangerine

Use a so called ‘snail crochet’, meaning that you shouldn’t connect rounds with slip stitches.

Abbreviations:
sc – single crochet
st – stitch
ch – chain
hdc – half double crochet
dc – double crochet

Make a magic ring and crochet 6 scs.
Round 1: Make 2scs in each st. [12sts]
Round 2: Make 2scs in every second st. [18sts]
Round 3: Work with sc in each st. [18sts]
Round 4: Make 2scs in every third st. [24sts]
Round 5: Work with sc in each st. [24sts]
Round 6: Make 2scs in every fourth st. [30sts]
Round 7: Work with sc in each st. [30sts]
Round 8: Make 2scs in every fifth st. [36sts]
Round 9: Work with sc in each st. [36sts]
Round 10: Make 2scs in every sixth st. [42sts]
Round 11: Work with sc in each st. [42sts]
Round 12: Make 2scs in every sixth (again) st. [48sts]
Round 13-15: Work with sc in each st. [48sts]
Round 16-28: Do everything backwards.
Don’t forget to stuff it. But don’t stuff too hard!! Because you want to make a little fold like this:

Fasten off when there’s 6sts left.

Leaf

Chain 16.
Sc in third chain from hook. Sc in next chain, hdc in next 2 chains, dc in next 4 chains, hdc in next 2 chains, sc in next 4 chains, 3sc in last chain.
Opposite side. Sc in next 4 chains, hdc in next 2 chains, dc in next 4 chains, hdc in next 2 chains, sc in next chain, slip stitch in last chain.

After I finished my new not-yet-shown-to-you-all warm cardigan I decided to take a break from crocheting or anything since I’m quite busy nowadays..buuuuuut..my boyfriend gave me an idea to make a winter hat. I, once again, gained inspiration and got so enthusiastic that I started searching for a pattern right away. I actually found a really nice slouchy hat pattern online here: http://www.caron.com/vickiehowell/patterns/urban_jungle/urban_jungle.html But once I started crocheting it, I saw that it’s really..not winter hat at all. .-. It’s full of holes and it’s more like an accessory or a spring/autumn hat, not for keeping warmth.. (｡･_･｡)σ

I kept searching and searching but it was so useless that I ran out of patience. (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ So I opened my oldie book and searched for a good pattern myself! So this is what I got. You can actually say that it’s my first work that I made just from my own head and inspiration! (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧

I also thought about those girls (or maybe boys? haha) who don’t understand these kind of patterns so here are some explanations:

Pattern instructions

For the very start I just knitted a simple stripe about 53cm long and connected it. After that I started making pattern above.
I kept repeating everything till the hat were about 28cm long.
For the ending I used advices from Vickie Howell’s slouchy hat pattern.
Also, if you aren’t sure how to make those puffs, please visit Vickie’s pattern too. The only difference is that you need to make puffs from single crochets all around (as it is shown), not just from one single crochet. ☆ﾐ(o*･ω･)ﾉ

This hat is soooo warm!! It took me few minutes to take these photos while me wearing it but it made me sweat right away haha. ( ﾟ▽ﾟ)
Well, it took me about 4 days to make it and I’m really happy with my finished work. I think it looks perfect, so my boyfriend does. (ﾉ´∀｀*)ﾉ

But sadly there aren’t any opportunities to get food made not in restaurants but just sold in shops. So one day I tried searching something that I can make myself at home! I’m not really into cooking so I though this will be kind of challenge to me. So I accidentally stumbled into this Lithuanian website. Believe it or not but I tried making Pockies and it went really good!! I can’t really say if it is a lot different from real Pockies since I only ate them once and I know that there are a lot of different tastes. Buuuut here’s a photo of my Pockies! ^^

And here’s a recipe!

You will need:

105 g wheat flour (1st class one, used to bake bread);
80 g usual flour;
3/4 table spoon salt;
13 g powdered sugar;
6 g dry yeast;
65 ml warm milk;
16 g tahini (you can buy it at any healthy food shop or make some yourself HERE);
25 g honey;
1/2 tangerine husk or 3/4 orange husk (optional);
25 g room temperature butter.

(Yeah, I know, numbers given a really weird and I also don’t have any scales to weigh such little food so I just guessed while making. XD)

Mix yeast with warm milk.
In other bowl (big one) mix salt, flour, powdered sugar and husk.
In 3rd bowl mix tahini with milk.
Put everything in main big bowl with flour and mix everything well.
Add 60 ml of water also butter and mix (you can use hands) everything.
Dough must be elastic.
If it is too wet (dry) add water (flour).
Roll dough in a transparent film used for food and place it in fridge for at least a hour.
Use a rolling pin on your dough and slice in narrow pieces.
Bake in oven heated to 180°C for about 10-15 minutes till they get golden colour.

And that’s it! ^^ The way you decorate, etc. is your choice so it’s totally up to you. I just melted some chocolate and added those cute beads for cake decoration. ^w^

 My experience: This was my first time making this kind of thing and I really did a lot of mistakes. XD

1. While making tahini, I forgot to roast sesame seeds so I just grind raw seeds. Oops…
2. I used normal flour for everything. I didn’t find a point buying a 2kg of bread flour just for 105grams. /le facepalm…
3. I used margarine instead of butter since I accidentally bought butter with herbs… O_o

I guess because of these changes my dough wasn’t actually elastic but…really ropey. XD And I bet it shouldn’t be like that. /le facepalm
Also I found out that tangerine gives a really weird smell to dough. Like a carrot or something. But it disappeared when it was baked. ^^
All in all, I can say that my Pockies went out REALLY good. And I was really happy. People who tasted them were happy too. >w<

After an accident with my dress (I gave it to needlewoman to fix it and she damaged my dress), I received 2 balls of very interesting yarn (as an apology, oh and she also fixed my dress again, for free). The thread looked a little bit like net when I unfold it. And it was this brand:

I was kinda confused since I saw these kind of threads for the first time. But that needlewoman said that you can make a very beautiful scarf from it. I got interested and went to a specialized shop. All about handmade stuff. And then I saw a little example of scarf knitted laying here and also a paper with instructions for this scarf.

After wearing this scarf for whole autumn I noticed that it became more narrow and longer due to often usage. But I also bought new yarn of this kind called Katia Ondas (click to visit their website) and knitted a scarf for mom:

We both love long scarfs so I made it using 2 balls. I compared those two brands and can recommend to use Katia brand for this scarf. ALWAYS. It has a lot more ruffles and it is way more warmer than the first one. Well, at least that first brand I got was for free so I don’t regret… But always take your time to get to know yarn you will be using, guys. Quality is the most important! :3

Few days ago I went to arboretum with my family. Parents wanted to check the price of ‘Emerald Green’ thuja (it was fuckin’ expensive if you ask me). But at the same time we had a great time visiting small garden full of beautiful statues like these:

I also saw behemoth rubbish bins where you put your head…I mean rubbish in there. (^^)U But I didn’t take my camera with me (I didn’t know it’s so beautiful there, besides I was sure it’s prohibited to take photos) so everything is taken with my phone camera (5 mega pixel phone camera is quite good when taking scenery photos).

Besides all beautiful nature there were a mini zoo!~ OvO I saw a lot of beautiful and rare swans, gooses, raccoons, owls, parrots… And even beautiful peacock!!~

I wasn’t as attractive to him as my mom (he spread his tail in front of my mom with all it’s beautifulness) so he left me standing there and looking at his butt…

But it isn’t everything I saw. I found new friend!! And it’s name is…LLAMA!!!

Not really… He started acting really weird looking straight to me and chewing (?) something… O_o No, I can’t say he was looking at me since I couldn’t see his eyes. XDD He has damn huge bangs! Hahaha! But as far as I know he likes to spit and kick when he’s angry so…we moved fast from him when he started acting weird like..trampling and munching something… O_o So yeah…

I left my friend there alone… T^T Naaah he wasn’t alone, there were like..5-6 llamas so I know he’s living happily right now… :’) Lolwut? XD

Anyways..my journey didn’t end so simple. The top was when we went to some countryside shop with EVERYTHING. I mean really EVERYTHING. They were selling clothes, shoes, constructional stuff, cookware, interior decorations, accessories and so on and so on… But I almost started LOLing when I saw vacuum-flask with….Jacob from New Moon!!! XDDDDDD

Team Jacob!!!!~ Hahahahahhahahahha

No guys, I’m not a fan of Twilight saga, I’m actually anti fan. :’D It’s just that it was so funny, I just couldn’t let myself not take a photo and not laugh at it…

You can laugh but preparation took me A LOT of time. XDD As you know I’m kinda obsessed about make up. And that day I was totally in creative mood so..I took some of my inspiration to do a nice make up for that day… And it took me that much to do a make up… XD

Damn, I feel like a pro. ;DD

Mom told that my make up looks damn good so I was really happy that my work was really good after all. ^^

(*off topic* Talking about make up…  Check out THIS PHOTO to see me without make up. Do I look like 19yo?? I’m so young looking!! XDD)

Anyways, I was kinda nervous when I came to the ceremony. Sitting there and watching concert was really good but the atmosphere was so..noble. ^^

My face looks so flat, like an Asian one. XDD There are my little Asian roots!! ;DD

The woman who was presenter during ceremony said really meaningful words about how we skipped classes, wanted to leave everything, drop going to school and do what we want to do and we are now finally free. These words were really meaningful to me because I’m also finishing high school now… ;]

See? My make up really does look nice! XD However it was so hot in that hall that I was literally melting… x.x

So that’s how my ceremony ended… Leaving me wondering how time can go so fast? I still remember when I was little and was skipping music classes just to watch ‘Sailor Moon’ on TV… Wait wut? XDD

Anyways,I received not only diploma!!! *w*

Every year all students who graduate receive special present made for all students of that year. ^^ So I received a really nice glass music key! ♥

I also received very nice earrings from my dear sister. :3

I wanted to make a collage (kinda obsessed with it recently haha) with details of each gift and colour palette but I thought that full resolution photo would be better so yeah. ;D But feel free to check my collage with earrings I received for me Bday HERE and also collage with my curly hair HERE… XDD

ADVENTURE NUMBER 1

Some random dude, I don’t even remember his name, comes and says:

Dude, I don’t even know your name, who the fuck are you? XD After I refused to give it, he started posting me smilies with crying faces. When I said it won’t help, he just didn’t reply to me anymore. That was an easy one. XDD

ADVENTURE NUMBER 2 a.k.a. the DUMBASS

The chatting was one awkward shit if you ask me.

(Keep in mind that all chatting was in my mother tongue)

He: hello. ;]

Me: Hey.

He: you listen to rock?

Me: Yes.

He: and I see in your photos that you are… fashionable maybe… ;]

Me: I don’t care about fashion. I have my own style.

Apparently he doesn’t know the difference between ‘fashionable’ and ‘stylish’. But that can be forgiven. LOL.

But apparently the chat stopped here. You wonder why? Well that’s simple. He also was commenting under one of my photos in photo gallery there.

He: This hairstyle is very popular among Asian women.

This is where dumbness begins. >:}

Me: Logical, because I’m interested in that.

He: Oh! So I’m not dumb at all! XD

Me: But your comment wasn’t really clever LOL. This hairstyle is not really popular, it’s more like traditional hairstyle.

He: You with your sayings like ‘LOL’ don’t look clever also. ;]

All men that are reading it… I’ve heard a lot of times that most of you don’t know how to talk with girls. Some of you even asked me advices how to  do that. Well, there’s only ONE BIG RULE for that.

You will never guess it is like that but…

JUST BE YOURSELVES

Could you guess it’s that simple???

I just got sooo annoyed by your all time tough ass behaving every time you talk to a girl.

1. SHOWING YOUR ‘AMAZING’ MUSCLES
   You call it cool. We call it fail. Yes, we do. On the one hand I respect those dudes who work hard to get the body they want. I accept sharing those photos on some social websites to show your buddies the progress. But putting them as a profile pic on the websites where you’re trying to find some girl to talk or so…no comments dude…
2. NAMING ALL THINGS YOU’VE DONE IN YOUR LIFE
   That’s another huge fail. Yes, you’ve lived a lot of years in your life. Yes, you’ve archived a lot in those years. But dude…talking about it all the time without shutting up and not even letting your girl friend say anything…go fuck yourself then with all your achievements. (Some friends sometimes get so shocked when they find out that I go to music school,they get all ‘why you didn’t say anything about it till now???’. Because I just don’t feel like flattering myself. I’m not some kind of spoilt brat…)
3. TEASING GIRLY STUFF
   Dude, you got hobbies right? Like…cars, basketball/football, casino (LOL), body building, working out… Things that girls usually don’t like. The main thing is that most of those things are not just hobbies for you but also the life style. For your information, we also have hobbies and a lot of them are our lifestyle too. Hair styling, make up, skin/hair care, fashion and stuff… A lot of you don’t understand our lifestyles. So do we (I’m talking about YOUR lifestyles, not ours LOL). So lets become tolerant with each other and keep in mind that you are males and we are females. Even though some of us may look so similar (by behaving, aims in lives, interests), each of us has our own life we sometimes need to have private from others if it disturbs anyone.
4. WE ARE NOT ALIENS FROM ANOTHER PLANET
   It’s almost the most important thing. Didn’t you know that? We are HUMAN BEINGS too.

Just be yourself dang it!!! Stop acting like tough ass because you only look dumb. We are not blind. We see how awkward you look when trying to be liked by us. But you know what we like best? Your inside. So stop trying to be someone else and show some feelings. We fall in love with the one inside you, not the brick you act.

Stop wasting time being stupid.

Ahhhhhh I feel so good I finally said everything I wanted to say for such a long time. XD
